To include links to social media platforms that wouldn't be that practical to stream into the main Wordpress site I used a plug-in called CPO Widgets which provides a whole range of solutions for connecting your Wordpress site to your social networks. The one I was mainly interested in is called CPO - Social Links, which provides a compact widget to list links to your various social platforms.

Once you have filled in the various IDs and usernames you are able to create a short selection of linked icons. For this I just searched for Bestival and found a wide ranging selection of existing social media accounts for the festival.
