To create a social media stream in the side bar of my site I found an all-in-one plug-in called Social Media Mash-up which pulls RSS feeds from existing accounts and displays them on your site in the form of a widget that maintains interactivity with the original social media account. Annoyingly Twitter have stopped supporting third party RSS collection from their feeds so this method has stopped working as a result I will have to find an alternative method of displaying a Twitter stream but for now the plug-in will do.
