For quite a while leading up to the independent project I have been coming up with ideas to try and develop into something I can use. So far I have narrowed it down to 3 potential ideas that I think could work:
Music Video:
My brother is an music producer and DJ, and had approached me a while back with the idea of collaborating on a music video. The options were to either create a video for an existing song or to produce a short abstract video that he would then score. I think this idea has a lot of potential to be quite fun but I'm unsure if it has enough volume to be considered for this module.
Documentary 1:
Something I've wanting to do for quite some time is produce a short documentary about professional cooking and catering. I work in the industry when not at Uni and I feel like it's something not a lot of people get the true feeling of. The documentary will focus on the group of people I have been working with for the last few years and will include various interviews.
Documentary 2:
A while back I was approached by someone I had been working for at an agency with the idea of producing the pilot for a series of TV documentaries about the music scene in Brighton. This is something I was very interested in doing for my major project but I don't think timing would line up that well with the general Uni deadlines. Although I might not do this for my independent project, it's something I'd like to take on after I graduate.
